Cindy Watson – Masters Coach 2009-2010 season, sk8withcindy@telus.net
Cindy is a certified NCCP level one and a partial level two coach, with sixteen years of coaching experience. She has taught all levels and disciplines of skating, from Pre School through to Starskate and Competitive skate, both with children and adults.
Her passion with synchro started in 1997 where, as a skater, she traveled to her first National Synchro Championships in Hamilton. She then began coaching a group of ladies which over the years last ten years has become the Coquitlam Masters Synchro Team. She has also coached Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Pre-Novice, and Novice teams representing the Maple Ridge SC and Cloverdale FSC.
Some of her personal achievements in skating include: Gold Figure, Gold Freeskate, Gold Dances, Part I & II Junior Competitive Freeskate, Bronze Rhythm Dance Variation, Level II Skills Evaluator (all disciplines up to and including Pre-Novice Level), and was the Recipient of the Evaluator of the Year award.

Maria Guercio - Adult 2008-2009 Season
Born in Montreal, Quebec, Maria has been figure skating since the age of 4. She started skating singles and has obtained her gold in figures, free-style and dance. She has also completed her skills, diamond dances and her novice competitive. She enjoyed a year doing “Toy Story” with Walt Disney on Ice and then found a passion for synchronized skating with “Les Supremes” from Saint Leonard, Quebec. She skated with “Les Supremes” from 1997 to 2003 under supervision of the dynamic Benoit Venne and strategic Lyne Forget. During this time, she participated in three World Championships and finished her skating career with a bronze medal at the world championships in Ottawa.
Maria is a Synchronized Skating Technical Specialist and working on her Level 1 NCCP. She is very thrilled to start a new role as assistant coach for Ice Evolution and is looking forward to a fun and exciting year.
